Brewmist's story begins when Miguel Cruz, a tea lover since he was a child, discovered the health benefits of kombucha in 2019. With the initial objective of improving his immune system due to the Covid-19 pandemic period, he acquired his first biological SCOBY to make his first kombucha, drinking it daily, he never stopped making kombucha, developing new techniques and flavors.
With a family history of cancer, he also decides to adopt a healthier lifestyle and the anti-oxidant power of kombucha turned out to be a determining factor that led him to create a strong and delicious kombucha.
Miguel Cruz wants to share the health benefits of kombucha while promoting a healthier lifestyle.
What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is is a fermented, lightly effervescent, sweetened black tea drink commonly consumed for its purported health benefits, and our kombucha is raw fermented tea, a delicious, low-sugar, and nutrient-dense soft drink that is rich in beneficial acids and antioxidants.
Kombucha is an ancient beverage that was initially consumed in China more than 2200 years ago for its detoxifying and energizing properties and later spread to the rest of the world. Now, Kombucha is home-brewed globally, bottled, and sold commercially.
How is it made
It is produced by symbiotic fermentation of sugared tea using a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY) commonly called a 'mother' or 'mushroom'.
